Absolute Paradise Vacation Rental FAQ's

Below are some of the most frequently asked questions by our guests. Feel free to contact us if your question is not answered here.

Absolute Paradise Vacation Rental FAQ's

  1. How far in advance should we book?
Generally the sooner the better is the answer to this question.  These villas are unique, so it is not like a hotel room where there are hundreds of similar rooms.  Once they are booked, they are booked, so choose wisely and choose early to get your first choice of villas, especially during the holiday season.  In general most villas are booked about 6 months in advance, although we suggest at a minimum two months.  Holidays book up at least 6 to 9 months in Advance.

  2. What is your cancellation policy?
If you cancel more than 30 days prior to your arrival date, you will be charged a 20 per cent penalty of your total amount due, and this penalty will be retained by Company as its agreed liquidated damages. If you cancel within 30 days of your arrival date, customer agrees that the Company may retain 100 per cent of customer's payment collected as liquidated damages.  These villas, once booked by you, have been taken off the market and are not available to anyone else.  Since most people generally book at least 60 days in advance, if you cancel within 30 days of arrival there is little opportunity to rebook the villa on such short notice and the owner incurs a loss.  On occasion, some owners will, under certain circumstances, allow a credit for a future visit.  Call us to discuss if an emergency arises.  We do recommend travel insurance in case of unforeseen emergencies.  Please see our Terms and Conditions Page for additional information.

  3. What is the maximum number of people allowed per villa?
This varies, depending on the particular villa, but in general it is usually two persons per room, so a 3 bedroom villa would allow 6 persons.  However many villas allow two more to sleep on a sleeper sofa, so check with us to be sure.  The nice part is that the rate is per villa, not per person, so the rate per night divided by 6 persons makes villa living extremely reasonable.

  4. What about smoking?
Most villas have a strict non smoking policy.  This being aid, some will allow smoking on the patio only.  Check with us to be sure what the policies are for your particular villa.

  5. What about pets?
At this time all villas have a strict no pets policy, sorry!

  6. Do villas allow children?
We love children, and most villas are very suited to children, as they are a home away from home.  Families are particularly suited towards villa life.  Occasionally though certain villas may not be the most suitable for children due to their configuration.  Check with us and we will tell you all about the particular villa you have in mind.  Villas do not provide full size cribs but many do provide portable pack-and-play type sleepers.

  7. How is booking a villa different than a hotel? How is booking a villa different than a hotel?
Apart from the obvious glamour, beauty, and extreme comfort of renting your own “home away from home”, villas are less expensive per person when you divide the cost per night among all of the participants.  Villa renters also save money on meals as they can purchase groceries at the store and BBQ or prepare their own meals in the villa kitchen, and that is whenever they choose, be it an early breakfast or a midnight snack – no time restrictions or need for reservations!  There is no “front desk” to stand in line and check in and out with either, so many people find this to be a huge benefit to arrive directly to your villa, kick off your shoes, sip a cool drink and start their vacation without fuss.

Villa living is truly the way to immerse yourself into the local culture and ambiance of the area while experiencing the ultimate in comfort.

  8. What about holidays?
Renting a villa for the holidays is one of the very best experiences you can imagine.  Picture yourself surrounded by your family and loved ones in a villa, experiencing the excitement of something new and different, and the excitement of the holidays.  The areas where our villas are located celebrate local holidays with a splash so you are sure to have a wonderful time.  One word of caution: RENT EARLY!  Due to the extreme popularity of villa rentals during holiday season we cannot guarantee that we will have any inventory with less than a 4-6 month window.  Once your villa is booked though, sit back, relax, and dream of all the fun you will have this holiday season in your beautiful home away from home.

  9. Can a villa be booked for one night?
Most villas require a 3 night minimum, and some prefer a week minimum, especially during holidays.  Check with us for details.

  10. Do you book flights and car rentals too?
Absolutely we do!  Just ask us for details and we will be happy to assist you with this portion of your vacation as well. We are also happy to arrange sightseeing tours and sports activities as well.

Feel free to call us or email us if you have any additional questions!  We’re here to help!
